ROOTS OF ISLAM - IAMAMATE

The status of Usool-e-Deen and Fur’u-e-Deen may be visualized as a tree, there are mainly two important parts of a tree: roots and branches. In the Shiah Islam, there are five roots – Unity or Tawhid of Allah, Justice (Adel) of Allah, Prophethood, Imamate and the Day of Resurrection (Qayamat). Similarly, there are ten Branches of Islam, which are Salaat, Fasting, Hajj, Zakat (Poor tax), Khumus, Jihad, Amr Bil Ma’roof, Nahi anil Munkar, Tawwalah and Tabarra.

There are many Ayahs in the Glorious Qur’an and Hadiths of the Noble Messenger (s.a.w.a.s.) about the “Imamate.”

Indeed, Allah desires to repel all impurities from you, O People of the Household, and purify you with a through purification. (33:33)

Say, I do not ask for any reward for it except love of (my) relatives…… (42:23)

Should anyone argue with you concerning him (Jesus), after the knowledge that has come to you, say, ‘Come! Let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, our souls, and your souls, then let us pray earnestly and call down Allah’s curse upon the liars’ (3:61)

Hold fast, all together, to Allah’s cord, and do not be divided (into sects) …. (3:103)

O you who have faith! Be wary of Allah and be with the Truthful. (9:119)

This indeed is my straight path, so follow it, and do not follow (other) ways, or they will separate you from His way. (6:153)

O you who have faith! O bey Allah and obey the Apostle and those vested with authority among you…… (4:59)

You are only a warner, and there is a guide for every people. (13:7)

Whoever obeys Allah and the Apostle-they are with those whom Allah has blessed, including the prophets and the truthful, the martyrs and the righteous… (4:69)

They do not venture to speak ahead of Him, and they act by His command. He knows that which is before them and that which is behind them…. (21:27-28)

Your guardian is only Allah, His Apostle, and the faithful who maintain prayer, and give zakat while bowing down. (5:55)

Indeed, I am all-forgiver toward him who repents, becomes faithful, acts righteously, and then follows guidance. (20:82)

Then, that day, you will surely be questioned concerning the blessing. (102:8)

O Apostle! Communicate that which has been sent down to you from your Lord, and if you do not, you will not have communicated His message, and Allah shall protect you from the people. ((5:67)

Today I have perfected your religion for you, and I have completed My blessing upon you, and I have approved Islam as your religion. (5:3)

An asker asked for a punishment bound to befall-which none can avert from the faithless. (70:1-2)

No one touches it (the depth of meaning of Qur’an) except the pure ones. (56:79)

But no one knows its interpretation except Allah and those firmly grounded in knowledge. (3:7)

Ask the people of the Reminder if you do not know. (21:7)

Ask the people of the people of the Reminder if you do not know. (16:43)
