The Noble Messenger
(s.a.w.a.s.) himself had said that he and Imam Ali (a.s.) were a part of one
“Light”. Imam Ali (a.s.) was his vice-gerent, brother and son-in-law. The lineage
of the Messenger of Allah continued through his daughter, the Infallible Lady
of Paradise Sayyida Fatima Zahra (s.a.). Imam Ali (a.s.) opened his eyes in the
‘House of Allah”-Ka’ba in the lapse of the Noble Messenger (s.a.w.a.s.), saved
the Messenger’s life on the night of Migration to Madinah by sleeping in his
bed when the swords of Quraysh were guarding his bed to kill him in the
morning. Imam Ali (a.s.) was the “Self” of the Messenger on the eve of
“Mubahelah”. Imam Ali (a.s.)’s sword-Zulfiqar saved Islam during almost all the
defensive battles defeating the well-known fighters of infallibles. Imam Ali
(a.s.) shared the Ayah of Purity with the Noble Messenger (s.a.w.a.s.). Selected
